September 15, 2022 – Arlington, VA – ThreatConnect, Inc.®, provider of the industry’s only extensible, intelligence-driven security platform, is proud to announce it has achieved its recertification for the ISO 27001:2013 certification, an internationally recognized standard defining requirements for a systematic approach to managing sensitive information, or an Information security management system (ISMS). The audit and certification were conducted by DEKRA, a company that provides worldwide comprehensive testing, inspection, certification and consulting services.
In order for ThreatConnect to obtain ISO 27001 certification, DEKRA conducted a comprehensive and thorough external audit on its flagship products, Cyber Risk Quantification and Threat Intelligence Platform. Certification is optional and provides verifiable third-party validation of compliance with the standard and guarantees that ThreatConnect has accomplished the following objectives for its products Cyber Risk Quantification and Threat Intelligence Platform:
- Formally adopted a risk management approach,
- Assessed ThreatConnect’s information security risks according to this approach,
- Selected an appropriate set of security controls to mitigate these risks,
- Implemented appropriate methodologies and processes to continually monitor and improve the system and its controls,
- Performed an internal audit of the ISMS, and
- Received favorable audit results of the ISMS against the ISO 27001:2013 standard by an ISO-accredited third party.
