ThreatConnect® and RuleGate® Offer Integration of Data for Enhanced Cyber Awareness
Cyber Squared Inc., provider of security services and the leading Threat Intelligence Platform, ThreatConnect®, announced a partnership with Centripetal Networks to integrate ThreatConnect’s customizable threat intelligence into Centripetal’s RuleGate® appliance. Organizations using both ThreatConnect and RuleGate appliances will now be able to put threat intelligence from their own research, open and private communities, open source intelligence, and third party vendors to use for real time protection of their networks, enabling full network performance.
The integration allows users to react faster to threats and act according to threat data found within ThreatConnect and rules established by RuleGate. RuleGate’s sophisticated packet filtering combined with ThreatConnect’s analytical platform and data provides a way to control what sources and types of threat intelligence will be used to defend the network in RuleGate by leveraging criticality ratings, confidence, tags, and deep contextual associations.
The integration features:
- Seamless delivery of data between ThreatConnect and RuleGate, bringing in both public and private data sources for defense.
- Ability to block, alert, or allow cyber threats in real-time.
- Choose which rules to apply based on ThreatConnect Tags, Criticality Ratings, Confidence Scores, and Associations to Past Incidents or known Threat Groups.

ThreatConnect will be available on RuleGate as a Cloud Subscription with access to the ThreatConnect Common Community and select open source feeds for all RuleGate customers. ThreatConnect Cloud, Private Cloud, and On-Premises subscribers will be able to add their own private data and premium sources using a plugin direct to their RuleGate appliance.
