We would like to congratulate Shawn Thomas, SOC Manager at Verizon Media with The Paranoids and host of the Detections Podcast, as the Polarity Community Contributor of the quarter!
Shawn has greatly helped Polarity build its product roadmap and understand how to improve the Polarity experience for everyone. We encourage all of our Polarity Community members to look at opportunities to extend the functionality of Polarity just as Shawn did.
Shawn’s contributions to the security community extend well beyond his support of Polarity. He also co-hosts the popular podcast, Detections, which airs weekly and covers Infosec, Blue Teaming, Detections, and interviews with community members.
We applaud Shawn for taking the initiative and solving some key community problems by providing great input to the product roadmap. Community participation is one thing that makes the Polarity Community continue to set the precedent for superhuman data awareness and recall. We encourage all community members to share suggestions and knowledge with one another, as well as provide feedback and feature requests to the Polarity team.
To commemorate the Polarity Contributor of the Quarter award, Shawn will receive a piece of Polarity swag!
Items that influence our Contributor of the Month selection include sharing product feedback with the Polarity team, requesting new features, and participating in group discussions. Though sometimes overlooked in other community settings, helping others to find success is a key concept of the Polarity Community. Community feedback and idea-sharing through the use of the Polarity Community Slack channel is critical to information exchange and making the community useful for everyone.
