Milestone Advances Commitment to Federal Cloud Security Standards
Arlington, VA, January 8, 2025 – ThreatConnect, maker of leading threat intelligence operations (TI Ops) and risk quantification solutions, announced today that it has achieved FedRAMP In-Process status for its threat intelligence platform. This marks a significant milestone in the company’s efforts to meet the rigorous security standards required for federal government cloud services.
FedRAMP, the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program, is a government-wide program designed to provide a standardized approach to security assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring for cloud products and services used by federal agencies.
The FedRAMP In-Process designation indicates that ThreatConnect is working with an agency to complete the security assessments and formal authorization process.
ThreatConnect serves more than 20 U.S. government agencies, including 10 large federal agencies in both civil and military domains.
“Understanding a rapidly evolving threat landscape is critical to our mission,” said Dr. Gregory Edwards, Chief Information Security Officer at the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). “We’re delighted to partner with ThreatConnect to sponsor their FedRAMP certification process, so that they can help us and other government agencies stay ahead of mission risks.”
With the FedRAMP In-Process status, ThreatConnect is on track to achieve full FedRAMP Moderate Authorization (ATO), a key certification that enables the company’s cloud services to be used by federal agencies. This status also demonstrates the company’s commitment to maintaining the highest level of security, compliance, and transparency in its operations.
“Government agencies want to use our platform to lean into threat and risk-informed defense to improve their security posture,” said Balaji Yelamanchili, CEO of ThreatConnect. “The FedRAMP designation makes it easier for our agency partners to securely leverage our platform to put intel at the center of their cyber defenses.”
