Team Polarity is thrilled to announce our all-new Web and Server Releases! These releases will introduce some really exciting new functionalities throughout our platform that give users even more flexibility, transparency, and customization power.
New Features
Who else has seen this Annotation?
Now, users can see who else has seen any annotation when they view an annotation from the overlay window. To see everyone who has also seen the annotation, just hover on the icon!!
Split Annotations on New Lines
User can now annotate more than one item at a time because Polarity will split on new-lines. Let’s say you have a list and you want to annotate everything in the list, just select the list, press CTRL-C-C (COMMAND-CC on Mac) and annotate multiple items.
Enhanced On-Demand Messaging
Users can now see when an entity is ignored when they execute an on-demand lookup.
Updated Polarity Server Installation Process
We have made it easier for Polarity admins to install the Polarity server and specify where they want the Redis and Postgres databases to live, enabling admins to move the databases into separate servers if needed.
Permissions System with Polarity
Users can now create Polarity User Groups and select which users have access to certain channels and integrations, making Permission management that much easier (and your team that much more efficient).
Private Channels
Now, users can set private channels. Private channels allow users to set personal reminders, notes, and annotations accessible only to their account.
Reference Channels
Using Reference Channels, teams can get quick access to commonly-used and mostly static data sets. These channels contain only referenceable information that shouldn’t be annotated against, such as a Metasploit channel for referencing the Metasploit penetration testing framework. Now, Administrators can set Reference Channels to “Read Only” so that users can subscribe without the ability to annotate the data.
Multi-Use integrations
With Multi-Use Integrations, you can use multiple of the same integration simultaneously, enabling you to run different queries pending on your teams. Humans are bad multi-taskers, but with tools like this, we’re able to focus where our strengths are and finish challenging projects much more efficiently.
We hope you’re as excited as we are about these releases! Keep an eye out for more improvements in the future.
