The Cybersecurity and infrastructure protection agency and the national risk management center, both of which are part of the Department of Homeland Security, are making cyber risk metrics and risk quantification a priority this year as they work to better understand the systemic cyber risks faced by U.S. critical infrastructures. And they recently kicked off a major initiative called the Systemic Cyber Risk Reduction Venture.
To help us understand what that is, we spoke with Bob Kolasky, the Assistant Director of the DHS Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s National Risk Management Center.
